First Responders whether for human care or animal care are people that are trained exactly the same way advanced medical staff are in primary care and secondary care protocols to attend the scene of and accident, injury or illness and tend to the patient until they can be evacuated to more advanced medical care.
In human First Aid and CPR or Primary and Secondary Care as it is now known the basic procedures and guidelines are laid down by governing bodies both regional and international, those bodies are; the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and the Basic Life Support Working Committee (BLSWC). This means that whichever training provider or association providing your training will follow exactly the same protocols and guidelines.
Unfortunately there are no such governing bodies for animal care protocols and more often is the case that the courses being offered differ widely in their duration and content as well as quality here in the UK and Ireland and possibly Globally. We will cover this a little more in depth on the “course page.”
Feel free to navigate the site, on the “about page” you will find out more about us and our experience and qualifications to teach you guys about life saving First Aid and CPR for Dogs. On the “About You Page” you will find information on why people like average Joe Dog Owner take the course to become a CFR as well as Professionals in the industry from dog trainers and walkers to veterinary nurses, yes, and veterinary nurses take our course as well.
On the “Course Page” you will find out all about the course from its inception and writing through to getting approvals and what it entails to take part in a CFR course. On the “Instructor Page” you will see why people who have done the course have then gone on to become instructors themselves delivering the course to their own students. Then, of course, the obligatory “Links” page this is more to help us up the search engines for anyone who knows about SEO but if you would like to link back to us use our “Contacts” page and who knows, we may be able to help each other up the search engines to that elusive page one of Google!
